However, it’s prudent for climbers to secure essential supplies in Moshi town before arriving, as the offerings at these local shops may be limited. The roads leading to Umbwe Gate, while basic, are well-maintained, albeit lacking in asphalt. As the initial point of registration for those on the Umbwe Route, the gate enforces stringent procedures. These may involve thorough checks such as
